24/7 Gym near Winsted, CT
About fifteen minutes from Winsted / Winchester.
Locals say Winsted, the town is officially Winchester, and either way you're about fifteen minutes from a floor built for serious training.
At Atlas, the owners are around and available to meet, there's specialty equipment like the reverse hyper and the belt squat, and 24/7 access so an early or late lift is never a problem coming from up north.
Come down for a day pass. Bring a friend on the free guest pass and make the drive together.
Getting here
Route 8 south is the quick way: it's expressway from Winsted to Torrington. Take the downtown Torrington exit for Route 4 and Route 202, then follow Route 4 west to Migeon Ave. Atlas is at 634, with free parking out front and around back.
Bring someone
The drive is easier with company. A member can bring a guest free once a month, so a friend can try the floor with you. If you'd both like coaching, semi-private training lets 2 to 5 people share a coach for about half the per-person cost of 1-on-1.
Training for strength
Chasing a bigger squat and deadlift? Start with the powerlifting page. Want to lift odd objects? The strongman gear, a Valor log bar and fat bars, is on the floor too, and the turf in the back room is there for sled work.
Try it first
Come in on a $14.99 day pass, or book a free tour and an owner will show you around. Personal training starts with a free 30-minute consult.
